INSTALL-MH(1m,C) AIX Commands Reference INSTALL-MH(1m,C) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- install-mh PURPOSE Initializes the Message Handling (MH) environment. SYNTAX +---------+ install-mh ---| |---| +- -auto -+ Note: This command does not have MBCS support. DESCRIPTION The install-mh command is used to set up mailbox directories. This command is not designed to be run directly by the user; it is designed to be called by other programs. The install-mh command is part of the Message Handling (MH) package. The install-mh command is issued automatically the first time you run any MH command. The command prompts you for the name of your mail directory. If the directory does not exist, you are asked if it should be created. The install-mh command creates the file $HOME/.mh_profile and places the Path: profile entry in it. This entry identifies the location of your mailbox. FLAG -auto Creates the standard MH path without prompting. PROFILE ENTRY Path: Specifies your user_mh_directory.
